Elijah got his big boy car seat yesterday. We went to target and he was trying them out. Haaha, he didn't wiggle out of one that was black and really nice, so we decided with that one! (it even has a cut holder) I think I was more excited than him. I should have taken a picture but i completely forgot.
So Elijah is getting baptized this Tuesday coming up. His God parents are completely amazing and love him dearly. I love my Jones family.
Well cookie monster finally woke up. Hopefully this fever will go away soon, i hate seeing him sick:(
Oh i completely forgot, Sunday was a great day! Elijah went to the zoo with his mommy, Mia, uncle Cody, and uncle Reggie. it was a blast.

Busy busy.
Elijah and I have been very busy lately. We had a couple of play dates this past week. We had so much fun (:
He has been very fussy lately, because he getting two more teeth! That will make 6 little teeth. He also loves to bite his mommy. He has even drawn blood, I didn't even think babies started biting others till they were two or something. Teething is no fun.
He also wants to be standing now, he'll stand for a second then giggle and fall. I'm sure he'll catch on very soon. heehee. People have been asking me when I am going to have another baby. MY aunt even says to start trying now. I don't think Elijah is going to have another sibling anytime soon. We're good with spoiling just Elijah right now.
I AM VERY EXCITED FOR SUNDAY! Matt, Reggie (elijah's uncle), Elijah & I are planning on going to the zoo! I LOVE THE ZOO! So I am very excited, I am more excited than Elijah too. ha (:

Choking. Seriously choking.
First off, I want to say i'm VERY proud of Matt today. He took a class today & learned so much. He will be a great manager at Vitek BBQ (:
So yesterday during the evening Matt & I were leaving HEB (my favorite store). As we're driving back home, talking about what we should cook for dinner. Elijah starts to do his famous "fake" cough, which quickly turned into real coughing & gagging. Suddenly I start to get really scared and since I can't see my own son (carseat has to face the back) my heart starts to race and panic. We quickly pull over, Matt jumps out of the passenger seat gets Elijah breathing and calmed down. He was blue to the face, tears, boogers everywhere. As soon as Elijah is okay we start to drive home. Once again Elijah starts to gag and starts to cry while choking. Part of me wanted to turn the car around and drive to the hospital. But there was no time, my son was gasping for air... a breath of life... my son. I quickly pull over, Matt once again jumps out of the car, as do I. Elijah starts to breath, then throws up some. I tell Matt to drive because i'm sitting in the back with him. Elijah is fine, he laughing and moving around like super awesome eight month old he is. The whole way home I kept thanking God for letting me have Elijah. Elijah is super blessing to Matt & I.
Today Elijah is doing great and doesn't stop crawling. He is seriously on the move.
He loves bathes, tickling, and eating. He is full of life. I am so glad Elijah is my life.

Fight the SLEEP.
Elijah has been sleeping in his crib for the past month or so. But last night he was fighting his sleep so bad, he was up till 130ish. So I laid him next to me, hoping he would fall asleep. I had a huge headache, so I closed my eyes to rest them then opening them to see 4:45am. Elijah next to me staring at me with his eyes saying "okay mom time to eat." So much for him sleeping in his crib last night. I really hope he doesn't think he is falling asleep with mommy again tonight. I would let Elijah sleep with us, but my bed isn't big enough. He rolls around WAY to much.
I don't understand why babies fight sleep. I really don't, I wish I knew. Elijah is taking a nap right now, and of course he fought this nap as well. He cried for a couple of minutes, pulled my hair, earrings and stuck his fingers in my mouth. Then finally he took his bottle of milk and went to sleep. He looks so sweet while he sleeps. I love you Elijah.
Well today is an exciting day! Elijah is getting a brand new car seat! My baby boy is growing so quickly, soon he'll be wanting to drive me around ha.

On the move!
Hi everyone!
Some of my mommy friends are blogging now, I figured i'd join in the fun as well & keep everyone updated on sweet Elijah James.
As for right now, elijah is laying on the couch drinking some apple juice and watching mickey mouse. He gets into everything now, he doesn't really enjoy to crawl. He rather stand on the edge of the couch and coffee table and slap the surface as hard as he can. ( As well as leaving teeth marks all around the table) He isn't very stable on standing quite yet, so he falls alot.
He is ready to walk, but I am not! I can barely keep up with him crawling, but I guess I can't keep him growing up. Time really does fly by, once their born. Must go, cookie monster is on the run once again...
